Competitive Integrity
Fair Play Policy
A league is only worth playing if the table is honest. Here is exactly how we protect that.
Our commitment
Every result on Switch Gamers is verified before it counts towards a rating, a league table or a prize. We would rather delay a result than publish a wrong one.
How results are verified
- One player submits the score, ideally with a screenshot of the final scoreboard.
- Their opponent is notified and asked to confirm it.
- If they confirm, the result is final and every rating, standing and statistic updates immediately.
- If they do not respond within 24 hours, the result is accepted automatically.
- If they disagree, either player can raise a dispute and the match freezes pending review.
Evidence
Always screenshot your final score. It takes five seconds and settles almost every dispute immediately. You can attach a screenshot when you submit a result and when you raise a dispute. Video evidence is accepted for serious allegations.
Raising a dispute
Disputes must be raised within 48 hours of a match being completed. You will be asked to choose a reason:
- Wrong score — the submitted result does not match what was played.
- Opponent did not appear — a no-show at the scheduled time.
- Cheating suspected — modified game, exploits or unfair external tools.
- Connection problem — the match could not be completed fairly.
- Unsporting conduct — abuse, harassment or deliberate disruption.
While a dispute is open, any rating change from that match is reversed. Nothing counts until an administrator has ruled.
How disputes are resolved
An administrator reviews the evidence from both sides and applies one of the following:
- Award the match to one player.
- Order a replay.
- Cancel the match so it counts for neither player.
- Apply a penalty to the player at fault.
- Dismiss the dispute so the original result stands.
Every decision, and the administrator who made it, is recorded in a permanent audit log.
What we do not tolerate
- Modified games, exploits, macros or any external tool that alters play.
- Deliberately losing to manipulate a rating, a seeding or a league position.
- Playing on someone else's account, or letting someone else play on yours.
- Creating multiple accounts to farm rating or enter a tournament twice.
- Abuse, harassment or discriminatory conduct towards any player or staff member.
- Deliberately disconnecting to avoid a recorded defeat.
Sanctions
Depending on severity and history, a breach may result in:
- A formal warning recorded on your account.
- Forfeiture of the match in question.
- A rating penalty.
- Disqualification from a tournament, with no refund of the entry fee.
- A temporary suspension from competition.
- A permanent ban, with forfeiture of any unpaid winnings.
Reporting a player
If you encounter cheating or abuse, report it from the player's profile or from the match page. Reports are reviewed by a moderator. Deliberately false reports are themselves a breach of this policy.
Appeals
If you believe a decision was wrong, contact us with your match code and any evidence. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the original decision maker.
